Après le démâtage, le rangement et le sanglage, le bateau est prêt à reprendre la route. Nous avons fini tard dans la nuit, nous partirons donc le lendemain. Comme nous sommes dans les temps, nous ferons une étape au camping de l'Oiselon à Pont d'Ain (01). C'est un camping que nous connaissons depuis des années, il est très pratique d'accès pour un ensemble attelé de grande taille. Sa piscine nous permet une pause détente méritée. La baraque à frites sur place évite de devoir sortir le soir. Après le second jour de route nous arrivons en fin d'après-midi. Le bateau est vidé totalement, les affaires sont rangées car d'autres travaux sont déjà en prévision. Fin de cette aventure de 2017, mais sont à suivre les travaux d'hiver et la préparation des congés 2018...

The family sailing crew of Element, living aboard a Catana 471 Catamaran set sail for the Greek Island of Crete as they make their way out of the Mediterranean Sea towards the Atlantic Ocean after spending the winter in Finike, Turkey and exploring the surrounding area. Sailing to Crete can be a challenge from the east with the typically strong prevailing northwest winds and so it would be for the Element crew with winds over 30 knots on the nose at times. Once safely at anchor the crew visit Spinalonga Fortress near Nikalaos, then have another overnight sail to Chania, where they visit the Palace of Knossos steeped in Greek Mythology of Labyrinths and Minotaurs followed by the wonderful Minoan Civilization Museum. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. The sailing in our home water the Baltic Sea is part of our preparation to sail to the Mediterranean Sea. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Litza is a Devon Rex cat and she is the real cattain aboard. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea.
