Nikoline and Adam move from the trails to the deck of their FP51 within hours. Nothing is fixed. The course is decided at the moment of departure. The anchorage is chosen on instinct. Sometimes, just a few meters are enough to change the perspective.

Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles Andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei komplett überholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. Obwohl Squib noch nicht ganz fertig ist, werfen wir die Leinen los und starten unsere erste Etappe donauabwärts. Dreieinhalb Wochen später erreichen wir das Donaudelta, der Mast wird gestellt, ein passendes Wetterfenster abgewartet, in zwei Sclägen überqueren wir das Schwarze Meer bis zum Bosporus. Ohne Einzuklarieren mit gehisster Q Flagge durchqueren wir die Türkei und erreichen 5 Tage später die Ägäis. Über Limnos und die nördlichen Sporaden segeln wir bis in den Großraum Athen, von wo aus Sabina nach Hause fliegt, weil ihr Urlaub zu Ende ist. Cette compétition, soutenue par le Groupe ENGIE depuis 2010, est devenue incontournable et très attendue par l’ensemble de la communauté des kitesurfers avec en moyenne 80 riders inscrits, en provenance de toute la France. Du Tandem Handikite, dernière née des disciplines handikite, sera en démonstration et proposé en initiation pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. Marc Blanc, vainqueur de l’ENGIE Kite Tour en 2009 et moniteur diplômé, accueillera lui, 7 usagers de l’ARIMC (Association Régionale des Infirmes Moteurs Cérébraux) de Rhône-Alpes pour leur faire découvrir le catakite (discipline handikite qui permet de s’initier aux joies de la glisse grâce à un catamaran adapté). Heute zeigen wir euch eine der schönsten Ecken der Insel. Der Sunset-Beach liegt an der Nordostküste von Moorea. Von dort aus kann man für umgerechnet ca. 8 Euro pro Stunde Kayak fahren und dabei mit Haien und Stachelrochen baden. Ein riesen Spaß.
