The latest weather reports have just come in and unfortunately they are not good for us. The azores High is continuing to grow and we'll have to travel another 1,000 nm north-west to sail around it and pick up the lows. All this means we're no longer in record-attempt mode as we can no longer claim the Jules Vern Trophy. Our aim now is to cross the finish line safely in Ushant. To undertake the crewed around-the-world record is as much about the human adventure as it is a technical and sporting challenge. The men and women working alongside Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard at Spindrift racing have been preparing this race against the clock for almost three years. The target: to sail around the world in less than 45 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes. The tough record they will try to beat was set by Loïck Peyron and his crew in 2012 on Banque Populaire V, which was renamed Spindrift 2 a year later. The French-Swiss team decided to use the same 40 m trimaran because they believed that the boat could be further optimised, a task that sailors, engineers and technicians at the team have been working on ever since. After countless hours of work at the boatyard and 40,000 nautical miles of racing and training, the Spindrift racing-prepared trimaran is all set to go. The team will officially go on stand-by on October 19th and wait for the ideal weather window. Half way stage the 44Cup Cascais, Chris Bake’s Team Aqua has joined Nico Poons’ Charisma at the top of the leaderboard and is even ahead on countback. The second day of racing for the high performance one design RC44 monohulls, hosted by the Clube Naval de Cascais, was held in slightly more wind than yesterday, 10-16 knots, building slowly in the final race, but remaining more firmly northwest. However the height of the swell was notably larger, drummed up by Hurricane Lorenzo. Thanks to the long wavelength this wasn’t especially dramatic, but it made holding a course tricky as boats experiencing a momentary lull and they disappeared in the troughs.

É uma panqueca proteica de aveia e cacau em pó mas pode ser feita também com Toddy e açúcar. INGREDIENTES: - 80 gramas de aveia (aproximadamente 1 xícara rasa) - 15 gramas de cacau em pó (uma colher de sopa) - 3 ovos - 15 gramas de sucralose (duas colheres de sopa - se não tiver ou não gostar, pode substituir por duas colheres de açúcar ou o que valha) - 1 colher de sopa rasa de fermento químico em pó (10 gramas) - óleo de coco ou o que valha para untar a frigideira. - Usamos também 1 colher de creme de avelã da marca Growth pra dar um tchan... Depois de reiterar por muitos anos que nunca teria um animal na minha casa, uma cadela pariu na porta da minha residência e fui "obrigado" a cuidar da mãe e de dois filhores. Não gostava desse bicho. Mas, a partir do sétimo mês de idade notei que o macho (o THOR) era muito apegado comigo. Então comecei a leva-lo diariamente nas minhas caminhadas. Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha.
