Peter joined fellow Zoologist Dick Bell and a young technician with the Animal Ecology Section of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) Rowley Taylor (author of Straight Through From London) on a three-man Dominion Museum/DSIR expedition aboard coaster Holmlea, which stopped at Enderby Island en route to Macquarie Island. During spring prep I discovered my jib halyard was stuck up the masthead. The only way to bring it down was to go up. It was a windy day so extra lines were used for safety and stability. There are different methods to clim up a mast. This is what I did. The rope ladder and harness were purchased on Amazon for about $138. SV KYRON is a 1972 Pearson 26. See you on the water. Ben and Jade Couturier recently completed the Northwest Passage on their Navy 44 Caprivi. They bought the boat in 2016, looking to make it their traveling home. Ben and Jade took Caprivi through an impressive rebuild while living aboard and working in the Florida Keys. In June 2022, they set sail, and have covered a lot of distance since. In May 2023, they left Antigua and aimed the bow north, quietly planning to sail to Alaska via the Northwest Passage. Emma caught up with Jade and Ben just a week after they arrived in Seward, Alaska.
