Argh mates! In this episode we leave Key West, FL. to get back to the mainland. Next stop Stuart, FL. then we drive to Panama City on the way back to Dallas, TX. We had a great time on the road trip through the Florida Keys. The small fishing town of Stuart was a great stop to hand out at Flanigan's Seafood Grill next to our hotel. The next day we headed back through Panama City and had lunch with Siren Williams from "The Siren's Log" sailing channel on YouTube. Siren Williams has been an avid surfer featured in Surfer Girl magazine, a photographer and wildlife conservationist since she was in Cocoa Beach, FL. We had an exclusive interview with lunch and she told us about her new sailboat, hurricane experiences, sailing travels, and brokerage business. As they cautiously interact, Siren told us about her sailing travels, boasted a sense of fascination between them. We went to a few local downtown Panama City pubs and venues, then we headed in to get ready for the next leg of our trip. I had my stereo on in this video so i have had to cut out the sound then have a playlist with text. But basically i will be replacing windows with acrylic and had to oversize the window surrounds. Little bit of guess work and free hand but the one i cut should match the bill. Followed by more hacking out wet foam so i can start rebuilding the bulk heads. First stop - Elba Island. We spent five days on the island at three different anchorages near Procchio, Portoferraio and Porto Azzurro. It's not too hard learning to love all things Italian: the history, the architecture, the language and the food! We were able to explore some of the amazing Elba beaches in our Outremer 5x. You don't feel too bad for Naploleon being exiled to this island after seeing its amazing beauty!
