Homemade Pita Bread Ingredients: • 1 cup warm water (not hot) • 2 tsp active dry yeast • 2 ½ - 3 cups all-purpose flour • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp sugar • 1 tbsp olive oil Instructions: 1. Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. 2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until the dough is soft and smooth (about 8–10 mins). 3. Let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour (covered), until doubled in size. 4. Divide dough into 6–8 balls, roll each out into a round flatbread. 5. Cook in a hot dry skillet for 1–2 minutes per side, until puffed and golden spots appear. ⸻ 2.
