✨✨Ocean Inspiration Part 2✨✨ This video particularly brings me a mix of feelings... It was an amazing trip, we were very lucky with good weather, clear visibility and all sorts of things happening on every single day... Nature was surprising us with so many unexpected wildlife encounters. Definitely a trip of a lifetime! As usual on such remote locations, we spent 12 days with no contact with the rest of the world. Speaking of the beginning of March 2020, it means a lot. We were submerged in our Dreamland while the rest of the world was falling apart... Times of uncertainty and losses were affecting everyone's lives on this tiny blue planet, including ours. It was hard to come back and face this new world. We don't know yet when and how it's going to end, but I'm still (as usual) very positive. In my 43 years, I went through difficult times and one important thing I've learned is that EVERYTHING passes. I'm sure this will pass and we just need time to recover. Hard times may hurt, but make us stronger! Nature is calling now and imposing us a necessary break. Mother Nature is doing her job, putting the naugthy kids in an isolated room to think about what them have done. What we (humans) have done to our planet? What are we doing? For what? Time to think about it. This video was my last trip this year and takes me back to the Dreamland. The Dreamland is REAL and remind us on every footage what a wonderful world we live in. How fortunate we are! Well, here we are. Quarantined and in lockdown in the Bahamas on our sailboat. It doesn't feel too different for us, as we have found ourselves a small secluded anchorage with an uninhabited island as our closest neighbor, and our friends on @wildlyintrepid by our side. The days go by, and we try to make the most of it - as anyone else in the world during covid I would imagine. Covid cruising might be different than covid households, but the challenges of balance and restrictions are definitely in place. OUTRUNNING A STORM here on Blown Away and RESCUING a migrant smuggling boat from off the bottom all in this weeks episode! we sail hard to stay ahead of an approaching storm, whilst ensuring our #1 crew member has a comfortable ride, once into the clear waters to the west of Cape Maleas we kick back and enjoy the sailing. Once into the Ionion we settle into marina life for a week as the storms and torrential rain pass over us, culminating in the sinking of a seized migrant boat, we are asked to assist in the recover of the migrant boat and don our scuba gear to get it back to the surface ..
