This is a better version of the previous video I did for YouTube. Let me know what you think in the comments and be sure to like and subscribe. This is my Greenport Goulash. I call anything O make with the leftovers from private dinners a goulash. I hate waste. So when there is food left over I try to first leave it with the clients. Then whatever is left over from prep I make into stocks or other dishes. Originally the other video was pretty cut up. I just added some features, did some color correction, some titles. In future videos I think I will combine the sail to location, cooking, and then the sail home in one video. Maybe do some short videos in the interim. The videos take awhile to make. I love Greenport NY. Townsends is one of the old school marinas out there and I try to give them my business. You can walk right into town from there and Bella loves the people that visit. A lot was happening at this time in our lives (but not too much on the boat), so footage was few and far between. Back Surgery recovery is no joke, but luckily not too much happened between leaving Mass and getting to Florida other than a bunch of motor sailing and a trip to the ER in South Carolina because George was hurting so much. BUT we see that perfect blue Bahama water again for the first time in what seems like forever, and it makes it all worth the trip! You`ll never guess who came to my house! I am returning to Wahine next week to continue my training voyage around Japan and the last few days i have met up with friends at the Japan International Boat Show, a TV Crew visited our our log house to film a Celebrity Chef, who is also a sailor, cooking a meal for us. The producer is a surfer! The 6th edition of the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show, guided by Raymarine, concluded a highly successful three-day event at our prestigious Ocean Village Marina this past weekend (9-11 May). Attracting over five thousand visitors, the show reinforced its place as a key event on the UK’s marine calendar. With over 130 boats on display both shoreside and afloat, the show featured a compelling lineup of World, UK and show premieres from renowned brands such as Axopar, Hanse and Saxdor. Among the standout launches was the World debut of the Hardy 45 European – the first Hardy to be completely designed and built in-house by Cockwells – which was officially unveiled on 7th May by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal at the boatbuilder’s headquarters in Falmouth, Cornwall. A Bruce Farr design built by BSI in Sweden to the highest standards. The quality of the construction is evident throughout. This Bruce Farr 64 is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a comfortable and capable blue water cruiser which is equally suitable for cruising in the Mediterranean. Big enough to sail in complete comfort and luxury but still manageable shorthanded. Hydraulic in-mast and jib furlers as well as a captive mainsheet make her easy to sail from the cockpit. She is in her current ownership for over 10 years and has been primarily sailed in the Mediterranean although she is readily equipped for long distance cruising with her large diesel capacity, lithium-ion domestic battery bank, water maker, air conditioning and independent diesel heating. She is extremely well specified with a long list of additional options. She has a well thought through interior layout which is both well finished and extremely ergonomic. Light and airy deck saloon with a large dining table, chart table, storage and kitchen amidships. Master cabin with en suite bathroom forward of the mast with a single bunk cabin leading forward of that to the workshop which can also be accessed via a through deck hatch. Day heads and single berth in aft passageway. One twin and one double aft with third bathroom. Tecma freshwater flush toilets throughout. Machinery is all easily accessible for maintenance. Since purchase, her current owner has continued to upgrade the yacht. In 2014 a new engine and generator were installed (both have seen modest use since). In 2015 a new carbon mast was installed and all Raymarine navigation equipment was upgraded. 2021 saw the batteries upgraded to lithium-ion. New 12.5mm teak was laid on the majority of the deck and a fuel cleaning system was installed in 2024. For the full list of upgrades, machinery and inventory see below in the detailed specification.
