Part 2 of the Makapu'u Lighthouse Rd Hike and Dragon's Nostrils Hike. Had a few hours to work on editing and playing around with some of the neat graphics, but we will see if I can stick with them. We traveled down from the Makapu'u Lighthouse portion of the hike on the southeast part of Oahu and made it down to the blowholes shooting giant blasts of tidal water high into the air. Fueled by the surf from the Molokai Channel, the water surges into narrow passages under the rocks and are propelled through, up and out for our enjoyment. We won't be able to see something like this until next winter season, so was very excited to catch it for the first hike of the Barefoot Hikers 2012. Barefoot Hikers is a group of novice hikers who go out whenever and check out the trails on Oahu or wherever we are. All you need to do is go on Facebook.com/BarefootHikers for meetup times.
