VERY BASICS OF SAILING

So this year we are once again going to have a couple of weeks off work during the summer months to have a family cruise up the east coast of England. Only this time we are doing it in our 20ft Red Fox trailer sailer yacht. This first film is really just the introduction, with our journey down the river to Queenborough we head off northwards tomorrow, but that we will be coming up in part 2

En visibilité réduite, les risques de collision avec un autre bâtiment ou d’échouage sont beaucoup plus importants. On réduit la vitesse du bateau et on utilise la corne de brume pour signaler notre présence. Une veille auditive et visuelle de tous les instants pourra être renforcée par la présence d’une personne à l’avant, les autres équipiers surveillant les côtés.
