In part 2 we visit the Great Plaza. The cultural and religious center of the former Mayan City. The foundation of the plaza was 220,000 square feet.

We traveled by the local bus into San Ignacio and got a taxi to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins at the end of town. From there we walked back to the town square and visited the open market.

Well we went to Home Dept to pick up the material needed to do my son's Eagle Project and the staff we meet their were great. The assistant manager at the store gave us materiel and a $25 dollar off coupon while the staff looked over my son's material list helping him get good products at a great price. After we got the ATV running found all that was wrong with it was the ignition switch, the old one had rusted due to being exposed to the wheel-well. We sealed the new ignition switch with rubber so it should help prevent this in the future. The new CDI makes it feel like it has a bit more torque even with the larger tires it feels like it has more power down low. The back tires measure out to be about 5 inches taller then the Chinese tires, and the larger tires help with the ride. Now all that is left is to get this thing out to the country and see how it fairs. It was a 2.5 hour trip from Western Belize to the Tikal in Guatemala, which required going through immigration. Once in Guatemala you had to stop for the occasional pig in the road. We walked for 5 hours and only saw a small portion of what was a city of up to 120,000 people. The residential area covered 23 square miles.
