Many places are still rebuilding from devastating 2015 earthquake but the Nepali people are incredibly strong, resilient, and friendly making this an unforgettable adventure.

Impi is sailing around the world. Here in NEW CALEDONIA we are finding some of the best causing areas in the world - it is simply an amazing, interesting and diverse country. In this video, we have returned to the mainland from The Loyalty Islands and in particular, Ouvea - we have arrived at Hienghene (shared in our previous video) and now we are sailing down the east coast against the prevailing winds to visit places such as Port De Touho, the nickel mining town of Kouaoua passing on by the historical village of Thio and onto the most spectacular bay of Port Bouquet. We take a couple of days away from sailing and Kejstral to visit this beautiful Island, with its stunning whitewashed buildings in Thera and Oia, its incredibly well preserved ancient ruins and Jaw dropping scenery. Quad bikes, scooters, coaches and cars fill the quaint tiny streets, and visitors fill the passage ways between buildings. In the small town of Oia, masses congregate at dusk to watch, and then cheer as the sun glides down over the horizon to complete an amazing sunset. After sailing the Chesapeake, and we begin cruising south down the intracoastal waterway, which is called the ditch, or the ICW. From here, there are 1000 miles of "The Ditch" for us to navigate before we reach Miami. Still, there are so many great sights to see along the way that we are really looking forward to this part of the trip. By the way - things are going just great! The only regret we have at this point is that we didn't make the decision to embark on this adventure a whole lot sooner. It's just plain amazing in so many ways. Thanks for watching!!
