The Kenny Flowers boats are not as well known as some other builders boats....they should be, with an impressive turn of speed per unit horse power this Spencer Lincoln design is as performance oriented as you get in the mid sized downeast styled hulls. This particular example is done as a simple cruising yacht with an eye to keeping maintenance costs down with no exterior woodwork. Moondance is one of the best Grand Banks 42' Classics available on the market. She was repowered less than a year ago and has only 300hrs on her Caterpiller 3208TA engines, all but guaranteeing years of reliable service and easy maintenance. Life style changes make her available now. With over 1500 delivered the iconic GRAND BANKS 42' Classic remains the most successful trawler design ever produced. Introduced in 1966, the original mahogany construction gave way to fiberglass in late 1973. The GRAND BANKS 42's semi-displacement hull with it's long keel, hard chines and a deep forefoot, provides a level of stability and comfort seldom matched by other boats. Full teak interior with galley up at the port side forward, lower helm door to starboard & mid-salon door to port enhance ingress & egress to either side, a must when locking through or docking at a different port each evening. Surrounded by large cabin windows, visibility from the lower helm is excellent in all directions, and there's plenty of flybridge seating for when fine weather prevails. This San Juan 32 is by far the best equipped RIB that you'll find. She was built by San Juan Yachts, designed for the rugged wet weather in the Pacific Northwest, she is equipped to handle rough sea conditions and unpredictable weather. The previous owner put almost 450 k into upgrading this boat from her "base boat" state including a Seakeeper 2 Gyro stabilizer, outriggers, upgraded electronics, new WING tubes, etc. This boat has been outfitted and upgraded without regard to cost, she one of the better equipped boats under 35' on the market. These simple spring commissioning checks during the de-winterizing process shouldn't take very long and will help ensure a fun, trouble-free time on the water. Spring outboard commissioning includes a thorough visual inspection including exterior connections and fuel lines, removing the cowl to check internal connections and wires. Manipulate the steering to ensure it moves smoothly and add grease if needed. Check mounting clamps and bolts to ensure they're tight. Check the prop and zincs. Add muffs or run your engine in a barrel, turn on the hose, start the engine, and burn off the fogging. Finish by adding a coat of paste wax to shine up the cowl and protect the finish.
