Blackfin Boats marks its 50th anniversary with the launch of the much-awaited 400CC (center console), the latest addition to the 2023 Blackfin lineup. The 400CC, with a waterline of 40 feet and a beam of 12 feet, made its debut at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show, becoming Blackfin's new flagship. She boasts ample space and a commanding presence on the water and comes equipped with up to 1,800 horsepower on her transom from outboards by Mercury Marine, pushing the vessel to top speeds around 70 MPH. This robust center console boat is built over a multi-stepped hull designed by respected designer Michael Peters and comes with a 500 gallon fuel tank and 100 gallon freshwater capacity. Blackfin's 30-30-30 philosophy means 30% fish, 30% cruise and 30% entertainment, and the builder sticks with that approach on their new flagship model. Wow... Majesty Yachts are going places with their new designs and this Majesty 111 (Triple 1) is evidence of that. When it comes to traditional looks this Sabre 45 Salon Express delivers on looks and also funcaionality. I found her to be a very stable and easy platform to walk around and can see that for a family she would work exceptionally if your inside enjoying the air con or out the back deck with the sun shade deployed. The technical room with washer, dryer and extra fridges turns this into a vessel that will easily do long cruises should you need and her design means you can be enjoying the cooler climates of Tassie or the tropics up North and enjoy an endless season on this boat. The hulls and superstructure were built like a tank with the bottoms being about an inch thick with balsa cored sides and decks. With her 15'10" beam this is a big 53 footer and the layout takes maximum advantage of that space. The strong suit of the layout is a huge cockpit, salon and bridge, as is appropriate for a real sport fisherman. Most of the 53 Convertibles weight is further aft, which helps her performance, particularly in a short 3 chop where most boats of her size have trouble. Being built like a tank with a deep entry hull means that this boat doesn't bob around like a cork. She's a slow roller with a smooth ride. This classic 1971 Hatteras 53 Convertible was purchased by the current owner in late 2020.
