In this video, we make the 2 1/2 hour trek to the cabin on a -11 degree morning with an overnight low of -29 degrees. I decided to not go at the last minute, but my friend Billy convinced me that it would be good "cold weather training" - so we went! Unfortunately, the cordwood that I bought was still wet under the surface and did not make a proper fire, so we couldn't get the cabin temperature up over 30 degrees. In spite of all of that, we managed to get a few things done! The next trip, we will finish trimming out the windows, move all of the tools and equipment back down to the shed at the "base camp" and give the cabin a thorough deep cleaning! Leg 3, Day 5 on the way to Sanya. In the 13th century Marco Polo sailed from China to the Strait of Hormuz – just the reversed route the Volvo sailors are exploring today. We’ve asked the fleet what the name of this Italian merchant traveller meant to them… and you won’t be disappointed.

Leg 3, Day 5. A big gybing contest occured overnight, now the drag race is on! We hear from Team SCA's Carolijn Brouwer, and see leaders Charles and Dongfeng Race Team master the removal of debris from their keel. Questions for the lead team? Post here and we'll ask them our favorites tomorrow!

This week, the second leg is heading towards its finale with Team Brunel and Dongfeng Race Team battling for first place in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the Arabian sea is full of surprises, Team SCA gets a visit from the local wildlife and Team Alvimedica lights up like a Christmas tree with bioluminescence.

Der Titel passt einfach perfekt unter die Bilder dieser muskialischen Stadt, deren Besuch sicher der Höhepunkt unserer USA Reise war.

Breve storia del Duomo La Cattedrale di Pozzuoli, costruita sulla sommità del Rione Terra, racchiude in sé una perfetta sintesi della storia di Pozzuoli. Sorse in epoca greca o sannitica come Capitolium della città, fatto erigere da un ricco mercante romano, Lucio Calpurnio, in onore dell'imperatore Ottaviano Augusto sui resti di un precedente tempio risalente al 194 a.C. Nel 1636 il Vescovo Martin de Leo'n y Cardenas fece ricostruire il Duomo inglobando una parte del tempio romano. L'opera fu completata nel 1647. Nel 1964 fu distrutto da un incendio. Nel 1970 il Rione Terra fu fatto sgomberare in seguito ad uno sciame sismico. Con il terremoto del 1980 anche il Vescovo fu costretto ad abbandonare la diocesi. Solo nel 2003 la Regione Campania bandì un concorso per la ricostruzione della Cattedrale. Il Restauro del progetto fu affidato all'architetto Marco Dezzi Bardeschi e il suo gruppo. L' 11 maggio 2014 è stata inaugurata la nuova Cattedrale con il nome "Tempio e Duomo".
