One of the things I love about sailing the world and traveling the way we do is trying new foods and learning new ways of cooking. In Trinidad, one of the clear winners has been Green Seasoning! A simple yet versatile seasoning mix, we'd never come across it before visiting the Caribbean. Now, it goes on BBQ ribs and chicken, and into our Trini curries, almost becoming a staple in our galley fridge! I show you how I make a flavorful, Trinidad-inspired green seasoning, a staple in Caribbean cuisine, before finishing off with some delicious BBQ! In mine I put thyme, spring onions (chives), pimento, habanero and parsley, garlic when I remember, and usually a bit of oil and lime juice. You'd usually add chadon beni to a Trini green seasoning, but we tend to skip it as one of our boat's crew prefers it without. _________________________________________________ After backpacking Asia, road tripping Europe and doing a bit of van life, we’re now exploring the world aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran. This short video shows Snow Gum’s nav station layout, along with additional, twin 12V outlets, in the just the right places for charging Smart devices in use on the saloon table. We replaced the standard USB outlets with extra 12V outlets, to provide flexibility for future technology developments, along with higher power output - 100W each. There’s also an additional 230V AC outlet under the nav station at the starboard end, perfect for a battery charger or setting up a Wabeco CNC milling machine and lathe on the table. :-D
