What started as a simple solo wild camp adventure, with my family waiting for me back on shore, quickly spiralled into one of the most difficult trips I’ve ever filmed. The plan was simple: head off alone, catch dinner, soak in the wilderness, and return to share it with the ones I love. But nature had other ideas… From missed catches to gear failures, it became clear this trip wasn’t going to plan. But nothing prepared me for what would happen after I got back to shore. Sometimes an adventure doesn’t test your gear — it tests your heart.
