In Episode 65 of the Sailing Goat Series, we finally arrive in Athens and enter the prestigious ZEA Marina in Piraeus. This is one of the busiest and most luxurious marinas in the country—packed with multi-million dollar yachts—and we’re a tiny floating home sliding in between them, stern-first! With nerves of steel (and a bit of luck), we nailed the docking maneuver without a scratch, which is great because, honestly… our insurance probably wouldn’t have covered a collision with a superyacht 😅 We came to Athens with the intention of replacing our lost solar panels, but that mission will wait for now. This week is about soaking up the culture, history, and ancient energy of the Greek capital. We head into the heart of the city to explore the Acropolis, Plaka, and the old town—walking through ruins and alleyways steeped in thousands of years of stories. ⚓ Mooring Among Million-Dollar Yachts: Stern-to docking in ZEA Marina is no joke—tight spaces, big money all around.
