In this episode, we depart the anchorage at Emerald Bay for Catalina Harbor on the back side of Catalina Island. Winds and seas are calm. We enjoy a peaceful anchorage before motor sailing and sailing back to San Pedro, California. We talk a bit about AIS and why it's important to have redundancy, manual backup, and pay attention to other shipping traffic.
