Join us aboard Sailing Ula as we leave Gibraltar behind and make the exciting crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier, Morocco—one of the world's busiest and most fascinating waterways. Not long into our passage, we receive an unexpected visit from a pod of orcas. These incredible creatures have become well known for their interactions with sailing yachts in the Strait, leaving many sailors wondering... are these the same orcas that have been damaging rudders and stopping boats? Thankfully, our encounter is peaceful, and after an unforgettable crossing we arrive safely at Marina Tangier Bay, our gateway to Africa. With Ula securely berthed, we head ashore to explore the vibrant Tangier Medina, wandering through its maze of narrow streets, colourful markets, traditional cafés, and centuries of Moroccan history. It's the perfect beginning to our adventure in Morocco as we continue our long-term voyage from Europe towards the Caribbean. If you enjoy sailing adventures, wildlife encounters, travel, and discovering new cultures, we'd love to have you aboard. ⛵ Route: Gibraltar → Strait of Gibraltar → Tangier → Marina Tangier Bay → Tangier Medina 👍 If you enjoyed this episode, please Like, Subscribe, and hit the 🔔 notification bell so you don't miss the next leg of Sailing Ula's journey to the Caribbean.
