Our Police Boat Won’t Move… So We’re Doing THIS Instead (EP. 207)

After discovering that Salloo’s windlass was seized, we made the decision to pivot our plans. Originally, we intended to move Salloo 400 nautical miles north from the Gold Coast to Gladstone, where we planned to complete the refit. Instead, we decided to bring our sailing catamaran, SV Emma James, 400 nautical miles south from Gladstone to the Gold Coast, and now we are headed back to Gladstone to bring the sailboat south to the Gold Coast. Before we leave Salloo, we spend some time measuring the accommodation level and starting to work out the new interior layout. The current layout has five cabins, three showers and two toilets. Our plan is to transform this into three larger cabins, two showers, two toilets, a dedicated office and laundry, and plenty of storage, including a much larger master cabin and space for guests, making the space usable for us. We also get to see Sam putting his new marine surveying skills to work as he carries out a marine survey on a 2019 Nautitech 40 Open sailing catamaran.
