LED Accent Lighting in Sailboat Stateroom

On our 43' Gulfstar, Last Affair, we decided we wanted to install some LED lighting in the Owners Stateroom. We wanted it to be able to cast enough light to light the room, as well as allow us to dim them to form accent lighting. While you can purchase LED lighting now at West Marine the prices are still very high. The great news is that LED lighting can be purchased in spools very inexpensively on line. I purchased a 15 foot spool of waterproof RGB LED with a controlling unit and remote control for about $40 from Amazon. These spools allow you to cut the LED strips to any length you want as well. This video shows how we contracted the LED lights in the rear on our boat.
