Leaving Cardiff at low water springs in a Contessa 26.. good idea?

I decided to go for a jolly afternoon sail in the Bristol Channel, it didn't turn out quite as I expected! First super low water as Green Tambourine dragged her keel slowly through the mud, swiftly followed by an uncomfortable wind over tide sea, plus 25 knots of wind, contrary to the forecast.. All good fun and we just scraped back into the barrage lock and relative safety with 30 seconds to spare, having sailing around the two Holm islands and had quite a close look at them.
