The folks at the Boat Galley asked on their social media if people liked winter cruising. A question with lots of nuance. The Christmas winds or early winter storms create very short windows to get south on the Atlantic. Often shorter than the time required between safe ports, and almost never aligned well with daylight, we can get very complex when you add in the tidal requirements to enter some inlets, as they can have several knots of current.
