In this episode, we check out of Aruba and begin our sail toward Cartagena, Colombia and the adventure starts immediately when we spot a submarine heading underwater right as we leave! Day one brought us calm seas, good wind, and even a visit from a pod of dolphins. But as we sailed on, things started to shift the wind dropped and large swells rolled in, thanks to a distant Atlantic hurricane. We also discovered the challenges of sailing near the Barranquilla River, as massive debris fields floated out into the sea with rumors of live snakes on logs! Join our family as we navigate the obstacles, laugh through the chaos, and finally arrive in Cartagena after dark, greeted by beautiful night lights.
