After spending quite a few very rainy days sitting out the weather in Gulnare Inlet we decide to just go for it and take Peanut up the creek in search of a potential cyclone bolt hole. It’s absolutely beautiful with mangroves, Norfolk pines and giant fruit balls! The rain just doesn’t cease. We have a small fire on board which kills our depth sounder and as we are in a very shallow, tidal creek we decide to brave the 45 knots of weather and head out of the inlet to safer water.
