Dolphins, Turtles and Marine Parks - SAILING INDEPENDENCE Video Log 20

Sailing our way from Stoupa via Methoni to Zakynthos this week. In Stoupa we finish the drone mapping with our DJI Mavic Pro, some more Scuba Diving is also on the agenda keeping an eye on the fitness of Posidonia Oceanica Seagrass meadows in Stoupa and Kalogria. With the Marine Biology sessions there being finished we move on to Zakynthos, the oldest Marine Park in Greece to learn more about how things are evolving in this area and how the Marine park developed in the last 20 years. But more about all of that in the next video! This week we also got some more dolphins and turtles for you! Not while scuba diving but while sailing, either way always a gorgeous sight! While the transits are somewhat of a down time in the busy work they still are the time in which we write up the reports, surveys and get in touch with the next possible collaborators along the way, so don't be alarmed if you see pictures of us hanging out in the sun - it is the occasional breaks we need to keep going and to keep spirits up! All the work we do we do as volunteers, not lacking passion in the work and goals we pursue, hoping that one day we might actually be able to live of it.
