In today’s video, I replace the engine battery on the boat and walk you through the full process step by step. What should be a simple job on land is never quite that simple on a boat. From disconnecting the old battery to securing the new one properly so it won’t move in rough conditions, everything requires extra care. A loose battery at sea is not an option. After installation, we check the charging voltage to make sure everything is working correctly — and we’re getting a healthy 14.27V, so the alternator is doing its job. Along the way, I also talk about another postponed project: replacing the marine waterproof carpets. After checking prices, I decided that for now it’s better to clean and maintain what I have and prioritize more important mechanical investments.
