Adding a Vang to the Precision 16

Continuing my rehabilitation of a 1987 Precision 16 sailing dinghy by adding a boom vang to control twist and improve sail shape. I purchased the stainless dinghy boom bails and rivets direct from Dwyer Aluminum Mast Co.--the original supplier to Precision Boat Works. The vang, purchased from Precision Boat Works, is for a Precision 18 and uses the new Harken Carbo Air blocks. The Precision 16 is a lightweight Stephen Seaton-designed un-ballasted centerboard sailing dinghy with a planing hull manufactured from 1982 until the mid 90s. It was superseded in 1995 by the smaller Jim Taylor-designed Precision 15 (P-15CB and P-15K). #sailing #sailingdinghy #usedboat #boatrepair #projectboat
