Acorn to Arabella - Journey of a Wooden Boat - Episode 114: Getting Back on Track

After numerous challenges and setbacks we are finally picking up the pace and getting into a solid groove! The replacement planks all go onto the hull quickly and smoothly compared to the other planks. We also have to get a bit inventive so we can hit the same screw holes in the bronze strapping with the new planks. We push the big band saw to it's limits re-sawing oak planking and spend some time on the scales weighing Steve as well as an oak and cedar plank to see if our previous estimate for increased weight was accurate. All in all it seems we are on the up swing, fingers crossed it stays that way!!
