3 Mins of Madness - Tack Line Failure & Recovery

During the first race of the Season Ending Frosties regetta the team on the J109 GTR had a reef in the main and the A3 kite up and were blasting across the bottom reach. The pressure on the tack line proved to be too much as it busted through the outer core which results in the tack line sliding up are 6 or 7 meters before the core bunched up and locked in place. With the shoring approaching fast the crew got the jib up and cut the tack line to allow them to drop the kite and two sail reach off to the bottom mark. It was calm crew working under pressure and allowed the team to keep the lead and sail on to victory. We hopw you are enjoying the short clips from the 2024 racing season.
