Setting sail from the beloved remote islands of Nor west WA we head to Dampier Archipeligo to find an amazing shell and rock forte built by a man named Sam, we have a fast sail at 8-10 knots through the flying foam passage and SNAP our front Beam on the Tangaroa!!!! NOOOOOOO... devastating times as this means a bit of limping and more boat work!!! ;( We decide to not head to the Kimberley region and sail back down south..but that's ok as we get the best weather ever to keep exploring this beautiful state! ⛵ Traversée en solitaire du golfe de Gascogne Le 2 juillet 2025, je quitte Ouessant pour une navigation en solitaire à travers le golfe de Gascogne, en direction de la Ría de Viveiro, sur la côte nord-ouest de l’Espagne. Cette vidéo montre une navigation simple et authentique : la mer, le voilier, et le plaisir d’être seul en mer pendant plus de 48 heures au large. Lors de la première journée, le vent oscille entre 17 et 27 nœuds, avec un renforcement nocturne qui m’amène à modifier mon cap et mon port d’arrivée afin de naviguer plus confortablement et en sécurité. J’évoque également la gestion de la veille en solitaire, un point clé de ce type de traversée. 👉 Si ce sujet vous intéresse, je pourrai réaliser une vidéo dédiée à cette préparation spécifique. We leave Garry’s Anchorage and begin our journey up the incredible K’gari (Fraser Island) coastline. Our first stop – South White Cliffs.
