Unlike fiberglass boats that are primarily built around molds, it requires a highly skilled workforce to build an aluminum hull. In fact, an aluminum hull at Alubat spends nearly four weeks in the paint shop alone, that's typically the same amount of time it takes to build and commission a fiberglass boat of the same size.

We sail to the west side of Bora Bora and pick up a mooring in one of the most beautiful spots in the lagoon, surrounded by shallow coral heads and crystal-clear water. After dropping the hook, we jump in the dinghy and head out to the reef where we snorkel with dozens of blacktip reef sharks — swimming right alongside us and coming unbelievably close. It’s an incredible experience and way less intimidating than you might think. From there, we enjoy an epic downwind sail across the lagoon to the Bora Bora Yacht Club, where the day ends with great food, sunset views, and a traditional Polynesian dance show. Nous sommes au mouillage dans le lagon et tous les jours nous admirons le spectacle que les baleines nous offrent, c'est merveilleux. Nous ferons également la connaissance de Pitoré, un sympathique polynésien de Moorea qui nous donne le MANA, force sacrée. Nous profitons également du début de la saison des pluies, pour prendre des bains comme jamais dans l'annexe transformée en baignoire et oui...
