In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. There are good discussions about catamaran life, lightweight construction, sailing speed in different wind conditions, advantages of ocean crossing on a light, fast and comfortable catamaran. This time in the San Blas islands, Panama we met Gerhard, a proud owner of Catana 471 catamaran. What is so special on this boat? Daggerboards, high bridge deck clearance, tulip shaped bows, asymmetrical hulls, centred weights and enourmous sails area: yes, it is the ideal combination for a true performance cruiser. The excellent seaworthiness of the Catana 471 has been proven by all owners on the seven seas. Vinylester barrier make a solid and safe base to rely on. All lines come back to the safety of the cockpit on an electrical winch so there is no need to crawl to the mast foot to do your manoeuvres. This boat is extremely easy to single hand.
