There are two parts to this silly story you gotta know: 1) Our darling wife/partner Kitty had been gone a few weeks on vacation, and 2) there is tiny red submarine that lives in Portovenere. Each time we anchored offshore, there it came, cute as could be, back and forth, day and night, buzzing us while we'd toast the happy people onboard with raised glasses of prosecco from our sundeck. Always looked like great fun, but we'd never gotten around to it. With the three of us and the three kittens, plus the whole sailing thing, there were always other things to do.... Well, Cristina is a die-hard romantic, so to surprise her little lovecat on her return, she hooked up something very special....a private ride with Roberto and his glass-bottomed Nemo Sub! It was amazing... He came round just before the sun went down and took us to grottos and caves, all around the beautiful bay under that spectacular falling sun, all with a bottle of prosecco in hand! If you are near Cinque Terre (Portovenere specifically), find him! He speaks fluent English, knows everything, and is a real gentleman to boot.
