You couldn't have picked a worst week to go sailing! It was the middle of August but you needed both fleeces and coats if you wanted to keep warm and dry and it was blowing a F4-5 gusting 6 much of the time. Even the most die hard sailor would rather have just stayed at home but none of this stopped all the kids at this year's junior week having a fantastic time. It says a lot about the kids but even more about the club. Its a club that is run by its members for its members and the volunteers who took time out of there own lives to help teach these kids how to sail did the most amazing job. Elizabeth is one of those children who is just naturally scared of anything new to start with, and wasn't really sure what to expect. But even before the week had ended she had made sure that Mummy had it written into next years diary because she loved every minute of it and plans to come back again next year for more.

It was another great week on Maldives Blue Force One with so many photographers on board. Meeting Turtles, lots of sharks and stunning reefs. Our last dive was outstanding, with dozens of Mantas circling round us.

FRIDAY DAY 4 Quantum Racing go into the final day of the Cascais 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week with a five-point lead over Azzurra and so sit on the threshold of their first major regatta title since victory in Puerto Portals in late August last year. After a hard-earned third today, when the course area was moved inshore and east where the much lighter NWกฏly breeze proved super-shifty, Quantum Racing need to keep up the same level of consistency through Saturdayกฏs two showdown races. An unexpected interlude of lighter breeze prevailed today จC the wind range during the one race achieved today was between 6 and 20 knots จC but the Saturday finale should see a return to classic Cascais, 18-20 knots and a return back out to the open sea course. As the new line up settles in to functioning at its optimum level the 2018 champions have had a tough couple of regattas, but here they have sailed here with a higher level of confidence. On our way to Samos from the island of Chios, we were treated halfway through the journey to a group of dolphins swimming alongside the boat. It remains magical—what beautiful animals!

Wir heißen zwar Segler-Club Oberspree e.V (SCO), liegen aber an der Unterhavel. Das der SCO an der Unterhavel liegt ist Umständen zu verdanken, die typisch für die Berliner Geschichte sind. Gegründet wurde der SCO am 24. Juni 1906 im Restaurant "Zu den drei Linden" in Grünau. 1912 wurde die Große Rohrwall-Insel in der Dahme, am südöstlichen Rande Berlins gepachtet, gleichzeitig wurde der SCO Gründungsmitglied des "Deutschen Segler-Bundes", der später in den Deutschen Segler-Verband aufging und stellte dort für zehn Jahren mit Robert Höfer sogar den Bundesvorsitzenden. Der Große Rohrwall nun ging nach dem Krieg in die Verfügungsgewalt der DDR über, was die im westlichen Berlin wohnenden Mitglieder motivierte, 1954 den "Segler-Club Oberspree e.V." in West-Berlin zu gründen. 1966 konnte ein Grundstück in Berlin-Kladow gepachtet und wenige Jahre später mit einem in Eigenarbeit erstellten Clubhaus ausgestattet werden. Some of the lovely people who've been watching our videos recommended this company 'Tek Tanks' for potentially helping us with the replacement of our 35yr old, stainless steel water tanks which have failed. We hiked and dove our way around St. John, USVI, hitting up all the well known spots as well as some secret spots of our own. Above the water we visit the Petroglyphs, the Old Reef Bay Sugar Mill, and Caneel Hill while below the water we check out Booby Rock and Lovango. We stumble upon a baby goat and find a few lobsters.
