This is the first video I ever made about our sailing adventures. Although we had been on boats for years, we finally got to move onto our own boat for the summer 2024. We were missing one family member who was living in Germany as an exchange student, but he will later meet up with us down island. The video quality is terrible, transitions non existent, narration abysmal. Just first-try material! Before we can venture further, a problem must be resolved. The rudder plate connecting to the steering shaft must be secured. Unfortunately, this is proving very difficult. Despite the 1/2” fine thread castle nut being able to finger tighten all the way, when the rudder plate is added the nut only makes it so far before popping loose. Please offer any suggestions.
