We anchored outside of the two sounds at Green Turtle Cay. Both were too shallow for us to get into and anchor. It wasn’t that far of a dinghy ride to the dock. We dingy’d ashore and explored the island on foot with Richard and Monica, enjoying a beverage at some of the bars and restaurants. What a fun day!

Menton is one of the last cities on the South coast of France, east of Monaco and west of Italy. We didn’t do much research on it, we just sailed to it after Monaco, so we were surprised to find out it’s a beautiful town! Spacious, lots of great beaches and an old towncenter with all authentic colored houses. 2023 recap and some news for 2024

We never thought of changing Ithaca's colour, but today she is in a different set of "clothes". 😄 New coat for a new journey. In this episode, the final two important jobs are done, which are topside spray and antifaul painting. Super happy! ❤️ This is the reason that she needs to get out of the water. We are closer to our sailing deadline. Inside the boat, the captain is sorting out his fishing gears, some are old and many are new. Hopefully we will get enough 🐟 for the supply of protein in the ocean crossing. The cockpit cover seems in very good condition, but there are lots of stitches burnout in the sun. A hand stitching tool is very handy to repair it, but the progress is a very slow. By the way, we used nail polish to refurbish the black zipper. 😜 #ithacacruising #boatrepairs #sailboat #sailboatlife
