One infrastructure for the entire build process: with an entirely new shipyard, Sunreef Yachts expands its production capacity and responds to a growing demand. In this episode of the Mul-Tea-Hull Talks we paid a visit in the new industrial site, including the offices and production facilities, also joined by Sunreef Yachts' Founder and President Francis Lapp who talked about the shipyard's future plans. ______________________ See the Sunreef Yachts New Shipyard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPeNW1O8tRA See all epsiodes of the Mul-Tea-Hull IG LIVE Talks here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyTH-RyHrzehebLPCKVVk6ogm_pMVzAHS Subscribe to Sunreef Yachts on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/SUNREEFYACHTSOFFICIAL Sunreef Yachts on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Sunreefluxurycatamarans Sunreef Yachts on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sunreefyachts/
Follow us along as we compete for the second time in the 2022 Bayview Mackinac Race. This race had light winds that were very tricky to navigate but we were able to keep the boat facing the right way!

Hello everyone, welcome back to the next video. In this one, you will just see me as I travel to Jacksonville, Florida, with a connecting flight in Atlanta, Georgia. This is where my next journey will start.
A very good reason for going sailing. The footage says it all. [] www.followtheboat.com [] * tales from the high seas *
Carl Eichenlaub started building Snipes before he started sailing them. Back when wooden boats where the only boats, Carl made Snipes in San Diego starting with an order of 5 boats from the Mission Bay Yacht Club. He started sailing them when one of his woodworkers wanted a Snipe but needed someone to drive it till he got the hang of racing it. Carl earned his reputation as a master boatwright the hard way. He was always available when someone needed help with their boat. In fact at the Peoria National in 1965 he took his wood plane to a boat that was an 1/8" too big at every station - the boat measured in and went on to take 3rd in the Nationals that year.
We did the thing sailors are not meant to do - booked plane tickets home on another continent! We have to make it to Tunisia in just a few weeks so bash our way upwind along Cretes northern coast - we do make some delightful stops like the town of Chania with its Venetian harbour and delicious restaurants. We have some wild sailing leaving Crete and arrive in the gorgeous Greek island stopover of Kythera where the locals have created the most amazing swimming grotto out of the natural rocks in the harbour. We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board and are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures! We would love to hear from you. Especially if you are interested in doing something crazy like we are! Maybe we can help answer some questions you have? Thanks and enjoy.
Sailing fast to destination is nice! We depart St Lucia with 22kts wind for a quick sail to Le Marin, Martinique where we trouble shoot a bilge alarm problem. Once in a marina, we always connect to dock water that goes directly to our faucets (not into the tanks). The high water pressure can create problems. But for the first time we bothered by a bilge alarm at night - always the middle of the night! Once again, Pierre solves a boat mystery and we can sleep peacefully with high pressure dock water connected to the boat. Lastly, some clips on using a second anchor when high winds are predicted.
Team Malizia and Boris give you all the information on the modification of the bow. See how the team rebuilt the crash box, a safety feature that breaks off if Malizia were to crash into something on the waterline. The team modified this to round the nose and created more of a slope to improve the movement through the water.
