I stayed in Halifax for almost two weeks from the end of September till the 12-th of October editing videos and then finally on Oct 12, 2020 I headed North.... Drove through Truro (not in this video) It was a national holiday plus Covid 19 situation - everything was closed and the streets were empty, another thing was that this town was not on a coast so I knew ahead of time that yacht club or boats (which is my passion now) I will not encounter, so I did not stick around for too long and continued my way to Pictou. Pictou is a small fishing community on a west side of the province. They say it is also a birth place of Nova Scotia as back in 1773 "Hector" ship brought the first group of settlers (originally there were 189 people onboard, but during the ocean crossing 11 died) from Scotland (Europe) to Nova Scotia, As I made it there the same day, the place was empty as well, there was no activity whatsoever, I strolled up and down the waterfront, checked the "Hector" ship (Hector museum was closed as well), met and spoke to a local resident, enjoyed the sunset and that made my day... I stayed there overnight and next morning I left the place heading further North.... I spent two days in Antigonish, nice little town, mostly visiting local public library as I was falling behind my video editing tasks.... ========================================= ABOUT ME  Back in 2019 I decided I did not want to be a 9 to 5  type guy anymore.  I got fed up with this rat race like routine city life and I got hooked on the idea of sailing and living on a boat full time. But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal I have not given up on my dream of sailing. Because of this Corona virus situation in the world It is just put on hold... I will chase my dream sooner or later regardless... ==================================== Ничего вам не продаю. Navegamos en barco adaptado por Isla Cristina con silla de ruedas disfrutando de experiencias, vivencias y emociones gracias a la accesibilidad. Este año hemos ido de vacaciones a la provincia de Huelva. Es nuestro primer viaje a la provincia y decidimos montar nuestro  centro de operaciones de Islantilla.. Elegimos el Hotel Ilunion Islantilla para pasar los 10 días y desde aquí realizamos pequeños viajes a lugares como las minas de Río Tinto o al Parque Natural de Doñana (hablaremos en próximos vídeos) y también realizamos pequeñas excursiones a lugares del entorno, recomendados por el Subdirector del hotel, que sabe muchísimo de la zona. Entre las excursiones que nos recomendó fue un paseo en barco desde Isla Cristina (apenas 8 o 9 kms de distancia desde el hotel). Nos dijo que había una empresa que tenía un barco adaptado para personas con movilidad reducida o en silla de ruedas. El subdirector del hotel llamó por teléfono para concertar un paseo (para asegurarnos de la reserva) y cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando nos dijo que la empresa nos invitaba al paseo (lo hubiésemos realizado igual pagándolo). Esa empresa es ISLAVENTURA(pinchar el link) Uno de sus barcos lo tiene adaptado con acceso para silla de ruedas y asientos que se pueden desplazar o retirar para dejar el hueco necesario para realizar un paseo con seguridad, comodidad y preocuparnos únicamente de disfrutar. El capitán nos contará durante el viaje muchos aspectos curiosos sobre pesca, embarcaciones, etc y que no quiero desvelar para que puedas disfrutar como yo si realizas este paseo. Si reservas por la web, es conveniente llamar por teléfono antes para especificar que vamos en silla de ruedas. El paseo se completa con un tapeito a base de gambas blancas de Huelva y un vinito blanco de la zona. Gracias al capitán y todo el equipo de Islaventura por su amabilidad y profesionalidad. Marathon boot key is a beautiful community no doubt but what made this visitation so special was the lack of power boats in the water! We were here in April of 2020 and the world was still very much shut down. The sea creatures were so playful and happy to free-range without the fear or propellors, The waters were so clear, The beaches were empty, and Sombereo Reef wasnt taken over by charter boats! It was a beautiful thing to witness! Now I want to address that we always wore our masks in public, and sanitized regularly, We stayed away from strangers and did what we needed to do to survive :) Music provided by Artlist.
