Santa Maria pier destroyed again plus I have a catch up with my man beach Edson who shares the same mind as me regarding the self destructive, narcissistic, jealous natives of this island. It's been such a long time since I have seen him so it was great to talk real talk. Then me and pickles living in crack alley in the middle of town for a few nights🤢. Then free security work for a safer and cleaner living space for me and mr pickles to rescuing endless sea turtles on Roberto's site, then emergency evacuation back to the pantera for Mr pickles as he defended himself and I against 20 dogs and ripped his jew claw off and got a deep cut in his ear. Life in Sal drifting as rejects as usual. The best part for me is the rejected dogs as they love me and pickles and the turtles as you cant beat nature as its pure. I have more conversations with the animals then the majority of people here as they are more engaging and intelligent. Thanks to the people who have supported me here and assisted me when I was in serious need much ❤️. To my enemies go F*** yourself shame to your mother's.🖕🏾

The Solent Forts Race is a long-distance event for sports Catamarans and is set in the Eastern Solent, with Hayling Island and Portsmouth to the north and the Isle of Wight to the west. The race comprises several legs radiating out from a gate (like a star), allowing the course configuration and length to be adjusted according to the conditions prevailing on the day. The race gets its name from the Napoleonic Channel Forts that comprise two of the marks of the course. The race has a unique 'time out' feature that allows boats to take an optional 30-minute break during the race. This time may be used for a comfort break or for tactical purposes. Saturday also features a shake down race.
Finally... We are on the hook... Countdown to leave is now just days away. Now we spend the next few days, doing final systems test, taking the puppies ashore for potty breaks and beach time, trying to get them to go potty on the boat and just going to and from on the boat... This is the reality of a professional-level refit: the long, meticulous, and often messy work that happens before the paint goes on. There's no glory in fairing, but it's what separates a quality finish from a amateur one. In this Paikea refit update, we're deep in the "unsexy" phase: prepping the entire port-side interior for paint. This means endless sanding, filling old penetrations, and—as always—uncovering and fixing unexpected problems, like a major leak in a cockpit locker. Join us as we tackle the essential but unseen work that transforms a structural shell into a finished, seaworthy interior. Après 8 jours de coup de mer sur la Méditerranée on peut enfin partir premier épisode De l'Aude en Espagne en passant le Cap Creus de nuit
After more than a year with our mast down, we’re finally pushing hard toward re-stepping — or so we thought. In this episode, we dive back into the final stages of our complete mast rebuild, a project that has included stripping the old paint, full rewiring, new clutches, new lights, and cleaning and servicing every single piece of hardware. This week was all about getting the mast as close to ready as possible for crane day. We wire the masthead VHF antenna, anchor light, and weather instrument, then tackle one of the most challenging parts of mast work: running lines internally. To get past the obstacles inside the mast, we break out an RC car to help pull messenger lines through — an unconventional solution that actually works. From there, we reassemble the furler, reinstall the spreaders, wire in the spreader lights, and hang the standing rigging back in place. Everything is coming together — except the final step. We can’t secure the lower ends of the standing rigging yet because we’re still waiting on our new turnbuckles. Then comes the gut punch. Two days before our scheduled crane appointment, the turnbuckles finally arrive… and they’re wrong. The threads are too large, they won’t fit, and there’s no workaround. The crane is canceled. The re-step is postponed. And after a year of work, we’re absolutely crushed. This is the reality of long refits — progress, momentum, and sometimes heartbreaking setbacks right at the finish line. If you’ve rebuilt a mast, dealt with rigging delays, or lived through parts arriving almost right, you’ll understand this one. Thanks for following along as we keep pushing forward. We’ll get there — even if it takes a little longer than planned. ☝More about us, our adventures, and how we do all this on our website. As we learn to let go of our American drive to finish, and embrace the meandering routes across islands, oceans, continents, and people, we hope to gain a better sense of our world and our place in it.
