In this episode we sail from Muxia to Fisterra, and then onward to Praya de Augillerra (first beach day!), and then onward to Muros to wait out some weather. While we are in the marina we take a bus to the famous city of Santiago de Compostela, the end point of many "pilgrims" on long walking or biking journeys. We talk a bit about the Orca issue again, and then set out to continue south along Spain's Atlantic / Galician coast. Thanks for following! We left Pear Cay in the Jumentos Cays heading for Salt Pond village on Long Island. Comer Channel is about 7 feet deep at mid tide, so no problem for SV Freya. Just as we entered the shallow part on the west end of the channel, a very friendly dolphin came by to lead us through. QP stayed up on the bow chatting with our guide until we passed back into the deeper east end of the channel. Thanks again little buddy! We didn’t have enough time to make to the anchorage in Thompson Bay before dark, so we dropped anchor just outside of the east end of the channel. There are miles of flat shallow sea with deep sand everywhere here! Weather called for a nice calm night and the swells and waves were less than a foot.
