I was fortunate to get out sailing on a F27 in San Francisco bay when the America Cup foiling 45fters were also out practising. It is very hard to video boats moving at 35knots when you are only doing 12-14 and don't know where they are going or when they will tack. And having to sail at the same time, not just video. So this video is just to show we were there with them on a glorious, sunny winters day For the record, both boats need to practise their tacking a lot more. Artemis seemed to fly higher but sail slower than Oracle. And what causes the high pitched whine before they sail fast (hydraulics?) Thanks Charlie!

Stuffed, Fried & Rippin Grab your favorite bevy and get ready, cause it’s going to be AWESOME – now take a drink!🧃 You know that moment when you put on an old coat and find $5 in the pocket? Well that how this week kinda went. We had a pretty rough start to the week and were feeling a bit defeated. The jobs kept creeping up like quicksand and we forgot that sometimes you need to be still for a second to get your head above water. We checked off some of the jobs that were nagging but not dire and it really boosted crew morale. Sometimes changing the little things can make a very large difference. Like a fried egg for instance 🍳 And that pocket $5 really shone when we received our new dinghy from Air-Sea Safety & Survival. They really went above and beyond to fix a mix-up. 💯 We have to remember that we can’t let the work rule us, we need to take some time to step back and enjoy the big picture. AWESOME! 😎 🎶 Music 🎶 Randy Sharp – Mr. Garita Roy Young – One Love Alex Grohl – The Fire Gate Leva - Pinwheel If you like the video we are producing please take a quick second to vote for us for Best Emerging YouTube Channel on the International Cruisers Awards. https://bit.ly/VoteHonuTime We were so excited for the nomination and it's all because of you guys! 🏆 Don't forget to like us on Facebook or Instagram for real time updates: https://www.facebook.com/HonuTime https://www.instagram.com/honu_time Our gear: http://SVHonuTime.com Thank you all for your support - It really means so much 💗 #sailing #boatrefit #liveaboardlife #Livingonasailboat

The boatyard blocked our sailboat wrong, and that lead to the hull "oil-canning." I had to go in and fix the way the boat was blocked, and then Randi and I started sanding the hull in preparation for bottom paint. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not-A-Broker Consulting: https://www.patreon.com/notabrokerconsulting Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/learningthelines/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/learningthelines/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20's, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we're in our 30's. Installing 4.88 gears in the Dana 35 for our Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5L, how we did it and what to expect during the install. See the tools and parts used for this install below. Now everyone says you should just go with a bigger engine, there is no replacement for displacement, we don't think this. When you are on the trail turning moderate size tires, going slow helps, give you that extra time to think about the stupid things you may get your jeep stuck in. Jeep Gear Change Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9vNnMj1ZmcY1OobKHopgTe7UR3p9u9xx Jump To: 1:10 Tools we had to have to do Ring and Pinion Jeep Gear Change 3:48 Tearing Down the Dana 35 differential for our Jeep Wrangler YJ 8:24 Pre and Install of Ring and Pinion for Jeep Wrangler YJ Dana 35 17:39 Final Thoughts of Ring and Pinion Install for Jeep Wrangler YJ Dana 35 The whole reason for this ring and pinion change was to improve the road performance of this YJ Jeep Wrangler, the offroad crawling is a plus. This Jeep has 32-inch tires and with that said 4.56 would have probably got it down to like the factory on the speedometer. With the new gears, the speedometer is 5 miles slow at 55 MPH, but the power is awesome. We can drive uphill at speed in 5th gear now with no issues, and if the hill is gentle, even gain speed. In 4 low the crawl speed is slow, we're talking you can get out and walk much faster than the jeep. We hope this helps you with your dana 35 install, and most gear changes in the GM 10, GM 12, Dana 35, or in most axles are the same. It is the shim points that differ and crush shim or fixed shim in different differentials. This is not an easy project, and not having the right tools can make it very hard to impossible, plus you can destroy your new ring and pinion.
