After a summer of working daily on shore, weekend boat projects, and a few short sailing excursions, it is time to haul Eleutheros out of the water for the winter. We discover some interesting marine life on the bottom of the boat! The day before Mark takes his father and two brothers out for a short sail. He successfully sails off the dock but ends up in a bit of an incident! He ends up to close to shore because he wanted to give his family a close up view of the Bluenose II. While Mark was putting up the jib for extra power, Eleutheros was turned up to close to the wind and lost the speed necessary to tack which forced Mark to turn toward the shore to try to jibe but there was no room….

As many of you may already know my mother is currently undergoing treatment for her second form of cancer. My godmother, who we all call Auntie Cathy is currently very, VERY ill with it and Izzys god mother, Auntie Jenny, has also recently been diagnosed with it as well. So as you can tell this is a cause that is very close to our hearts in the Foxwell family. So just for a change here is a short film of this Sunday's activities, a fun run in Rochester high street, organised by the Race for Life charity with the aim of raising money for cancer research. A good time was had by us and the literally thousands of people that attended so hopefully a lot of money was also raised to fight the cause.

A pequena , charmosa e linda Holambra mais conhecida como capital nacional das flores, fica apenas 120 km de São Paulo. O nome Holambra une as palavras Holanda, América e Brasil. A época em que a cidade fica mais cheia é em Setembro, mês que acontece a EXPOFLORA ( a maior FEIRA de flores ornamentais da América Latina ). Mas atenção, próximo ao mês de Setembro, fiquem atentos aos ingressos e comprem com antecedência ( na bilheteria custa mais caro). Há diversas empresas de turismo que fazem o passeio durante o final de semana. Vale muito a pena chegar bem cedo no evento e sair depois das 17h para ver a tradicional chuva de pétalas de rosas ( dizem que quem conseguir pegar uma pétala e guardar, terá sorte =) ) Além da feira, existe outros pontos turísticos em Holambra, como o Moinho Povos Unidos, Lago Vitória Régia e lago Holandês, Portal de entrada da cidade ( vale a pena para tirar foto).
