This week we spend some time fishing on the small powerboat in Gasparillo Sound at the Boca Granda Pass. The fishing wasn't great, but the friends were, the relaxation was great, and the planning and discussing the trip and work to get DreamChaser sailed across the Gulf was productive. We spend some time and talk about the work we are doing/having done on the Formosa 51 in preparation for the trip across. I am looking forward to doing it and getting nervous all at the same time. We found someone to do work for us on the boat and so far I have been pleased with it. Angie from Saltwater Marine in Mandeville, LA, has come highly referred from others that have boats in our marina. She is an electrical engineer by trade and has been helping out with electrical and other work as well. I do it every morning and after my 3-5 hours spearfishing to remove the trace of the mask from my face.
