My resilience was being severely tested here in Tarrafal do Santiago. It was Mother Nature's turn to come down hard on the town and me. Intense rain fell non-stop for hours. I took it as a good sign. It washed the boat and I filled up with fresh rain water. That was all that was good. More bad luck came my way because of the rain. It busted my outboard. And I couldn't get my computer working. All I could do was hope for the best and expect the worst. Living this life is a constant test of will. You either deal with it and survive, or give up. Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles Andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei komplett überholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. Seitdem lag Squib in der Wiener Kuchelau, und der Refit hatte begonnen. Am 17 August 2025 ist es wieder so weit. Obwohl Squib noch nicht ganz fertig ist, werfen wir die Leinen los und starten unsere erste Etappe donauabwärts. Dreieinhalb Wochen später erreichen wir das Donaudelta, der Mast wird gestellt, ein passendes Wetterfenster abgewartet, in zwei Sclägen überqueren wir das Schwarze Meer bis zum Bosporus. Ohne Einzuklarieren mit gehisster Q Flagge durchqueren wir die Türkei und erreichen 5 Tage später die Ägäis. Über Limnos und die nördlichen Sporaden segeln wir bis in den Großraum Athen, von wo aus Sabina nach Hause fliegt, weil ihr Urlaub zu Ende ist. Wir laufen leer! Seit vier Monaten sind wir auf Kuba und langsam geht unser Dieselvorrat zur Neige. Dabei haben wir noch einige hundert Seemeilen bis in die Dominikanische Republik vor un, wo wir den Rest der Hurrikansaison verbringen wollen. Gegen den Wind, Welle und Strömung. Ohne Diesel ein kleines Himmelfahrtskommando. Also bleibt uns nur eine Möglichkeit: Wir müssen einen Abstecher nach Jamaika wagen - hin und zurück sind das etwa 270 Seemeilen. Einchecken können wir dort nicht, denn auf Kuba müssten wir dazu erstmal auschecken. Aber der nächste Port-of-Entry liegt ganz im Osten der Insel.

Este material lleva por titulo De andares y boliches, y plasma el repertorio que acompaño a este duo en su larga recorrida musical por bares y boliches de Capital Federal y Gran Buenos Aires, en especial del barrio de San Telmo. Fue grabado en los Estudios Tecson en el mes de Julio de 2016. Cuenta con la participacion de musicos invitados en los temas 9, 10 y 11; Leandro Vilchez en guitarron, Rodrigo Ruiz Diaz en guitarra y Santos Baltazar Sanchez en Cajon. The Baltic 130, owned by Pier Luigi Loro Piana, a member of the International Maxi Association (IMA), has also set a new Monohull Race Record after completing the 3,000 mile race between Lanzarote and Grenada in an elapsed time of 10 days 5 hrs 47 mins 11 secs, shaving 1hr 19mins 48 secs off the previous race record set in 2015 race by Jean-Paul Riviere's French Finot-Conq 100, Nomad IV. “I am tasting the Caribbean right now!” smiled My Song Navigator Nacho Postigo sipping an ice cold beer courtesy of Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina. “The conditions for a Transatlantic Race were the best I have ever had. Almost every day we had very few squalls and at night we had brilliant stars so it was fantastic. After getting through the pressure ridge at the start, the wind was between 16-22 knots which is perfect and really pleasant. The main objective for us was to safely get the boat to the Caribbean. After the first few days we were 240 miles behind the record, so we just forgot about it. Then slowly we were cutting it down and in the last three days, every half an hour someone was coming to the chart table, wanting to know if we were on record pace. Personally I love coming to Grenada, the atmosphere of the island, the fantastic sailing but especially the people who are super super nice.”
