Engine room, diesel exhaust, exhaust riser, stockings, enchiladas and a hot sauce comparison A few loose screws and some muscle power. We’re still trying to solve the engine exhaust leak. This time Karen joins Steve in the engine room to loosen a few screws and Steve uses his muscle power to remove the riser. Still not sure how to reconnect the riser to the flange to seal the leak. Some projects are just not as easy as anticipated and this one is a prime example of extended DIY. Karen dances in her new holiday outfit of a festive skirt and red furry Christmas stockings. They’re just the kind that Steve would like to stuff. Of course she has a red furry hat to match the swinging stockings. Culinary delights on Isabella in this episode are our homemade enchiladas. Ground grass fed beef with secret seasonings, yep, right out of the store bought package. Oops, spoiler alert. Lightly fried flour tortillas filled with the meat mixture, cheese and some sauce, rolled up and put in a pan. They are then covered with more sauce, yep another secret ingredient, topped with cheese and baked in the oven until done. Yummy. Then things got really hot. Free power and unlimited water on the UK's canals? As sailors on the open oceans, we lived completely independently. We created our own power and produced our own water. It was a lifestyle we've been wanting to replicate on the canals of the UK, and now that we're continuous cruisers, we have achieved this. In fact, we are producing so much power we don't know what to do with it, and so much water we can shower every day - not that we do! We do all of this as we continue eastwards along the Stainforth and Keadby Canal towards the River Trent. Along the way, we encounter Maud's Swing Bridge, which appears to be broken, and the Crook O’Moor Swing Bridge at Medge Hall before tying up at Groves Farm. We take in some incredible scenery that truly highlights British nature at its best. Apo Island is located near Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. This small island is reputed for the good snorkeling and diving since the island was declared a protected area many years ago. We did a dive at Rock Point West and this video shows the most interesting part of the dive: close-encouter with turtles, not shy at all by divers. Watch this Hawksbill chew coral with gusto! The journey of a couple - John Pott and Manuela Visani - respectively Australian and Italian, in the construction of their catamaran Essenza. Living an alternative life in North Queensland, in the town of Bowen, at the top of the Whitsundays Islands, the married couple shares their experience in the building process of Essenza while also working and slowing down to the simple things in life in the beautiful area of the Great Barrier Reef. They are following the design plan of the boat builder Peter Snell: a 41 foot catamaran. Their goal is to have an alternative lifestyle living aboard. The movies, once the boat is completed, will show also their very personal experience on board through life and the ocean.
