This is Episode 39 of our adventure. Visually, not much happened this week, Hugh spent most his time on the phone, emailing and thinking. He does manage to fit in a bit of physical labour in the form of rebuilding the hatch surrounds. The end result might look the same but he has to use a different method for each as its a boat and everything is custom. We are a family of five with plans for an epic adventure, sailing around the world. We have bought a boat we have to gut it, rebuild it, sell all of our possessions and have the guts to cast off. Follow our adventures. Leave us a comment, watch our other videos, join our Facebook page, become part of our journey. https://www.facebook.com/fivegosailing https://www.instagram.com/fivegosailing

# 2 mini vlog : 70 days in the Philippines The first part of the video is the tradional “TAHO” every morning the seller is shouting in every streets “ TAHO” TAHO! . Tahô is a Philippine snack food can be eat in the morning or afternoon, it’s made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal, and sago pearl. This staple comfort food is a signature sweet and tahô peddlers can be found all over the country . We are still a bit of jetlag after a day of arriving in the Philippines. In today’s mini vlog Sebastian and Daniel’s first time to ride a jeepney and tricycle . Jeepneys, sometimes called jeeps, are minibus-like public utility vehicles, serving as the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decorations, which have become a widespread symbol of Philippine culture and art . Their reaction is priceless 😅 Daniel’s asking a lot of questions but in a curious way. Sebastian said riding jeep is COOL . This is new to them and this time they are more curious boys #philippines #manila #travel #itsmorefuninthephilippines #pinoy #primdaladventures

We anchor our little Gemini catamaran sailboat in a beautiful Baja California lagoon to force ourselves into a slow pace of life. Slowing down has been a challenge of ours but we finally know what its like to soak in "lazy" days and spend time with our daughter on the beach and exploring the sleeping Mexico fishing village nearby. We are picking up anchor again but will remind ourselves often to take it easy and enjoy this precious life we have. Family of 3 sailing the Sea Of Cortez and beyond in their Gemini 105mc Catamaran.

Can you make a good frozen dessert in paradise? This is the first in a series of frozen desserts that will knock your socks off. This one happens to be my favorite, it's a frozen pumpkin latte. Check out the video to learn how to make it and for equivalent substitutes. The recipe is below. Frozen Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup milk 2-4 Tbsp canned pumpkin puree 2-3 Tbsp maple syrup/honey 1 Tbsp vanilla extract ½ tsp spice mix 1-2 tsps instant coffee Spice Mix: 1 Tbsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 2 tsps ginger ½ tsp allspice 1 tsp ground cloves Instructions: Blend together, store in freezer for 24 hours, blend to drink #sailing #sanblas #PANAMA #smoothieS #bocasdeltoro #PUMPKINSPICELATTE NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Since we came down to Martinique we decided to get all the boat repairs and services done so that we don't have to worry about it in a few years. We weren't able to go anywhere in the first few days because of the boat work. But fortunately, later we got some time to explore this beautiful island. We drove down to a beach on the southern point and had a lovely evening with a great sunset view. We have become friends with a lot of amazing families along this journey. It was so fun to hang out with them. So we motored our way up north (we didn't have the sail back) to spend some more time with the families. It was a great time! There we so many kids and they all had so much fun. Then we decided to hike up Mount Pelée. It used to be a volcano which erupted a long time ago. The climb was steep but at the end it was totally worth it! The views were INSANE! 🔥 As always, thank you for watching. See you in the next episode. Enjoyed the video? Hey everyone! Today’s episode turned out to be a true adventure with a twist! We started the day planning to sail across the Bahamas bank, but things didn’t quite go as planned. Shortly after we left our anchorage, our head sail sheet managed to wrap around our prop, forcing us to stop and fix it. After some teamwork and a little effort, we got everything sorted out, but by then, we decided it was best to head back to our original spot. With our change of plans, we made the most of the day by exploring the beach nearby, snorkeling through crystal-clear waters, and even turning the boat into a jungle gym for some rope-swinging fun! This day was a reminder that flexibility is key when you're living life on the water – unexpected challenges can lead to unforgettable memories. There's nothing quite as nice as all new plumbing. In this episode, we replace our toilets as well as the entire waste water system. The only thing remaining is the black water tank, and only because we can't get it out of the boat without cutting it in half. Our old hoses were smelly, and filled with hardened waste. Fortunately, the new ones are guaranteed for 10 years, and with good care, could last even longer. Unlike most boat installations, we've chosen to use stainless steel wire and the Clamptite Tool in place for standard hose clamps. They are rated for higher pressure, give even pressure all the way around the hose, and don't have that brually sharp edge designed to cut you to the bone. If you'd like to try it out, follow the link below and use our discount code for 10% off your purchase. Our very first multi-day passage had a very unfortunate outcome...we lost out bowsprit. The genneker halyard ruptured and dropped the sail into the water while we were moving ~12 knots. While we were trying to get the sail back on deck, the forces were just too great and the bowsprit broke right off the crossbeam. In the spirit of the $6,000,000 man, we designed and built a new one...bigger and better than it was before. The process was long and involved several people, but the result is fantastic. In this episode we detail the work we did to prepare the aluminum, and the problems that blocked our progress. ☝More about us, our adventures, and how we do all this on our website. A couple travelers out chasing the horizon, meeting the people, and capturing it to share with you. We’ve chosen to Roam the world by boat because, let’s face it, the most interesting path is rarely a straight line. As we learn to let go of our American drive to finish, and embrace the meandering routes across islands, oceans, continents, and people, we hope to gain a better sense of our world and our place in it. The path won’t always be comfortable or easy to find but, it will always #roam Here's an index of the video in case you want to see something specific: 00:00 Intro to project 01:18 Intro to Sailing Roam 01:36 Winter in the garage to prep the pieces 01:55 Mark for holes 02:54 Route the edges 05:29 Drill the holes 05:43 Route the holes 06:21 Sand the holes 11:22 Something is wrong with the aluminum 13:14 Do it all again 15:12 Done and gorgeous 15:31 Wrap up 15:39 Like, Subscribe, Bye! 15:56 End Card ----------------------------------------------------------- #boatlife #catamaran #travelvlog #digitalnomad #lifestyle #sailboats #nautitech #yachtlife #sailingroam #liveaboardlife #cruisinglife #explore #exploretheworld #refit #catamaranrefit © Sailing Roam 2025

With looks that could stop a tidal wave it's like Captain Nemo designed a day boat! This is a boat that we'd love to see in British waters, take a look and let us know what you think. Huge thanks to Ross from Marina Marbella UK for access to the boat, for more info visit Website: www.marinamarbella.co.uk Tel: +44 (0) 1489 576 676 and ask for Ross Dixon
