Una manifestazione abbastanza contenuta nelle dimensioni, se comparata con le grandi esposizioni di settore d'autunno, come Cannes o Genova, ma che estremamente interessante perché molto verticale, molto specifica. Qui si possono vedere e visitare modelli nuovi e vecchi e provenienti da tutto il mondo e si possono capire tutte le tendenze del momento, Cosa abbiamo visto? - Prima di tutto che si sta allagando la forbice tra cat da crociera pura, i "cat-casa", e quelli sportivi e performanti. In entrambe le direzioni si vedono scelte sempre più estreme. - Il fenomeno power-cat sta diventando sempre più importante. Una volta erano i modelli a vela semplicemente privati dell'albero, ora sta diventando una vera e propria categoria a parte, interessante ed evoluta. - Sempre di più i cantieri stanno lavorando su design ed estetica. Reconnaissance a) As a campaign cost reduction measure, COR/D has mutually agreed to cooperatively implement a centralised reconnaissance programme for all teams for the reconnaissance of all Competitors’ AC75 Yachts, AC40 Yachts and LEQ12 yachts including both on-land and on-water imagery (the “Joint Recon Programme”). b) Each team is assigned a two-person Recon Unit to follow their every on-water move, but it's not that simple. The cameras are supplied and identical for all Recon Units. Drones are not allowed, and they can't get that close, plus following a boat and keeping a camera steady at 45 knots isn't that easy to begin with. c) A three minute interview follows each on water day, and teams must answer the Recon Unit's questions while trying not to give too much away. Die inwater 2020 war ein gelungener Auftakt für die BOOT & FUN im November. Am Mittwoch, 18. November 2020, eröffnet die Boot und Fun Berlin feierlich ihre Tore, mit der exklusiven Preview GALA DER BOOTE, die BOOT & FUN BERLIN (19.-22. November 2020). Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf die Messe im November. aqua marin - Boote & Yachten wird wieder als größter Aussteller für die Marken Jeanneau, Prestige und Marex im Hub27 vertreten sein.

Depois de pernoitar, 11° dia, já próximo à Manaus, ainda no Amazonas... terminei de chegar. Concluído, cheio de emoção, está segunda “subida” do Amazonas, entre Santarém PA e Manaus AM. Foram 404 milhas navegadas, sempre com motor ligado e em alguns poucos momentos, velejando. Não aconselho a quem queira navegar na bacia do Amazonas, exceto na baía de Guajará, em Belém, a velejar, fazendo bordos pelo rio. Tornasse difícil vencer a correnteza fazendo bordos e correndo riscos de bater em troncos, capins e muitas vzs, árvores inteiras. Além de arriscar-se a naufragar ou encalhar, na melhor hipótese, em um dos inúmeros bancos de areia. O Rio Amazonas, por ser um rio relativamente novo, está em constante transformação. Criando ilhas ou arrancando-as. Nas longas curvas, a correnteza é grande, estimo até cinco nós.. sendo mais prudente evitá-las. Tornando a mudança de margem constante.. Existem cidades que possuem toda infraestrutura de apoio necessária, como combustível e alimentação, dentre outras. Destaco neste trecho: Óbidos Juriti Parintins e Itacoatiara. Pouco antes de Manaus o Amazonas começa, com a junção dos rios Negro( águas escuras, formada com a decomposição dos materiais orgânicos da floresta)e Solimões (águas barrentas vindas desde sua nascente, nos Andes) Em um trecho longo de mais ou menos 3 milhas as águas dos dois rios não se misturam. Devido a temperatura diferente, PH, intensidade e velocidade. Em Manaus o melhor lugar para se fundiar é no Igarapé Tarumã Açu! Estarei em manutenção e logo após, retorno para o Rio Tapajós, para Alter do Chão. Onde devo ficar até o fim do ano...fazendo charter e explorando suas maravilhas! Neste trecho, pessoal... o Amazonas estava liso e sem nenhum vento. Céu de nuvens da estação, inverno Amazônico, carregadas é muito bonitas. O certo é que mesmo motorando, tem sido de grande alegria ver este rio enorme e poderoso. Entender os segredos para uma navegação tranquila e segura, é ponto fundamental. Navegando a favor da correnteza, ficando mais despreocupado com a profundidade, tornou bem mais prazeroso. Com isto contemplar essas imensidões amazônicas, são momentos únicos. Espero consegui captar essa emoção e mostrá-las, para vcs! Abraço e Bvs!!

We finally start our voyage south! We were exhausted and exhilarated at the same time when October 1st came around and Bagheera was loaded onto a truck towards Plattsburgh. We forgot to explain this in the video, but in case you’re wondering why every member of our little crew took a different route into the US from Canada, it’s because the border was still closed due to COVID travel restrictions. This made it impossible for us to sail Bagheera into the US, even with Amandine being a US citizen. However, it did mean she was able to take the land border with Bonbon and most of our belongings. Tom took a flight as that was still a possible way for a non US citizen to cross the border. And Bagheera crossed the border “commercially” with a shipping company! Phew! We know... very complicated... Once the crew was reunited, it was a bit of a race down Lake Champlain and through the 12 locks of the Champlain Canal to the Hudson River. Another great trip with Waterhorse Charters. Special thanks to Ryan Mable for the invite on this private charter to explore this seldom visited shipwreck here in San Diego. The wreck sits in 125 feet of water along the Mexican / U.S. border. She was a Wickes-Class destroyer in the US Navy during World War II. Received six battle stars for service sinking 4 submarines and bringing down 2 planes. She was sunk as target practice on November 8, 1945,
