This is it!! 771 nautical miles offshore across the Labrador sea. We are sailing from Twillingate on Newfoundland, Canada to Qaqortoq on Greenland. The weather is quickly changing and passing between low pressure systems and timing the arrival to the ice limit is a tricky challenge. Compared to the other crossings we have done, this is also harder because of the cold. It takes a lot more energy to do stuff when it requires getting in and out of foul weather gear. In this episode we sail to Arbatax and take a closer look at the "reef" at our botten after we been lifted on to the hard. We also rent a car and make a roadtrip up in the mountains. In 2024 Edward Curry Hyde and Scott Robertson both completed their first Sydney Hobart race as double-handers. It was an initiation by fire, given the very tough conditions of that race, but undaunted Edward has returned this time pairing up with the very experienced Lincoln Dews.
